More than P816,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized from the nine drug personalities who were arrested during the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement (SACLEO) operations conducted by the Bulacan Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday, July 20.
Col. Charlie A. Cabradilla, acting Bulacan police director, said that intensified efforts by the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), the Special Operation Unit 3- PNP Drug Enforcement Group, Bulacan’s 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, and City San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM) police, led to the recovery of the illegal drugs and the arrest of the suspects.
Arrested were Jeson Bergado alias “Jack,” 32; Veronica Magano, 41; Alvin Arcquelo, 26; and Jovelyn Tan, 23, all from Barangay Kaypian, CSJDM. Recovered from them were nine sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 60 grams; one Cal.38 revolver with five bullets; one belt bag; one weighing scale, and the buy-bust money
In a similar operation in Brgy San Manuel also in the CSJDM, the alleged drug peddlers identified as Junail Mangcol alias “Urak/Junail,” 27, and Naim Tominaman, 18, both from Tungkong Mangga CSJDM; Justito Borillo Jr., 28, from Kaypian, CSJDM; Ryan Versoza, 23, from Minuyan 4 CSJDM; and Dumarpa Mamangcao Jr. from Brgy Commonwealth Quezon City were arrested and seized from them were nine sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 60 grams and the buy-bust money.
Cabradilla said this accomplishment by the Bulacan police in the campaign against illegal drugs promotes safety and security in the community.
