Tipping in Puerto Rico is not compulsory, but it’s expected within restaurants, hotels, and bars. Some common tipping quantities are $2 or more per day for the housekeeping staff, $1 per drink for bartenders, and 15% of the check for restaurant servers.
This is expected in most countries but with some of course it is cheaper.
$1 is very cheap for them. Dollar is their denomination.
