How to Convert Foreign Saudi Driver's License to Philippine LTO Driver's License

Yesterday’s experience at converting my Saudi to Philippine DL.

It was quick, straightforward and hassle-free.

I presented my orig Saudi license (incl translation from the Commission on Muslim Filipinos) plus passport for initial evaluation at Window 1, LTO Central Office Licensing Section.

My docs were in order, so I was given an application form and was told to get a medical test, which I took at a clinic nearby.

I returned to Window 1 and submitted the filled up application form with photocopies of my passport, Saudi DL and its translation, and the medical test report.

After about 20 mins of wait, I was told to pay the fees. With payment done, I had my biometrics, signature and photo taken at Window 4, where my new DL card was also printed, and released.

All in all, the process at LTO took about an hour.

The Saudi DL translation at the Commission on Muslim Affairs took 15 minutes.

The medical test took 10 minutes.

I actually spent more time going to and from these places.

Cost wise, I spent P12 on photocopies, P500 on medical, P700 on translation, and P785 on LTO fees. Total amount spent was P1,997.
