INGREDIENTS:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon minced garlic
455 grams ground turkey or beef
1 cup tomato sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
pinch of ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
3 tablespoons chopped green olives
1/2 teaspoon juice from the olive jar
3 tablespoons chopped cilantro
1 package of store bought refrigerated pie crusts (2 count)
coconut oil (for greasing air fryer inner-basket)
DIRECTIONS:

Heat the vegetable oil during a skillet on the stove on medium heat, and add onions and garlic. Saute those for a couple of minutes, then crumble and cook ground turkey.

To the skillet, add in spaghetti sauce , seasonings, green olives, juice from jar of olives, and chopped cilantro. Stir and warmth .

Unroll pie pastry on floured counter top or chopping board . Use a 4-inch wide cup or round kitchen utensil to chop circles within the dough. Roll out scrap pieces of dough to make more circles.

Place a few teaspoons of filling inside each circle. Fold over and use a fork to depress and seal edges.

Grease air fryer inner basket using copra oil to stay the dough from sticking. Set one layer of empanadas into the air fryer.

Cook in air fryer at 330 degrees for 8 min., until dough is cooked and slightly browned. Carefully remove and serve warm. This made about 15 empanadas on behalf of me .
