The U.S. Open in 1977 was the 77th tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma, June 16–19 at the country club, Southern Hills. The first of its two major titles, one hit ahead of Lou Graham, the 1975 winner, was won by Hubert Green. Sam Snead, two-time champion Julius Boros, and Tommy Haas, marked the final participation this year. The $45,000 divide between Green and Graham was split between the winners.
