The triple jump method is much like the little kids playing hop scotch. An athlete must lift off and land on the same leg before landing in the pit on the next opposite leg. This event has many of the same features as the long jump during the approach. However, at the start, the differences stop at a much flatter angle than at the long jump. We studied technical requirements and techniques for developing them, and how the day and week of training might be arranged. 1) Acceleration of the triple jump 2) Maximum velocity controlled 3) Hop and takeoff (4) Step and (5) Spring and landing.
