According to researchers: Remains of colonial blue-green algae have been found in rocks dating back more than 4 billion years. As a whole, these types of fossils represent nearly 7/8th of the history of life on this planet! However, they are considered bacteria, not plants
I got interested with algaes. Though are these species not harmful for corals to eat because it is a bacteria?
Corals can endure pain even though they can be damaged. Though scientist are not sure if they can feel pain. In this case, they can tolerate some bacteria from algaes since they just get it from the tissues where algaes live. It is harmful though if the bacteria is from a harmful algae.
Poor corals… Hope they can produce more by eating healthy.
