Plain steamed crab meat is one of the healthiest seafoods you can eat. Some say it is not because of too much sodium and cholesterol. Well as long as you drink a lot of water and consume minimal amount per week, or just eat the crab occasionally, it would not hurt at all. For a minimal amount of calories, you get lots of protein, the nutrition in crab consists of a multitude of minerals and several B vitamins. Our bodies need protein to build and heal muscles, bones, hair, skin, and blood. Incorporating high protein snacks and meals into your diet keeps us fuller longer and helps limit our unhealthy snacking habits.
