Mammals found in Death Valley National Park include desert bighorn sheep, bobcats, mountain lions, jackrabbits, squirrels, gophers, and other small mammals. To survive in the desert conditions, mammals have developed a number of important adaptions.

Animals are dapted to arid environments, they do not need to drink water their entire lives. They can survive on water digested from their seedy, vegetarian diet
