The origins of tea are often traced back to China. According to Chinese mythology, the Chinese emperor Shen Nung was seated beside a tree in 2737 BC, as his servant prepared beverage , when some leaves from the tree blew into the water. Shen Nung, a well-known herbalist, decided to try the infusion his servant had made by accident.
