The cable could be ‘fake’. It’s also possible that your cable is faulty or broken. But usually, there’s nothing wrong with your USB cable, it’s just not built for data transfer.
How will we know if it is legit?
Make sure that it is written on the directions. Ask the seller or better test the USB cable.
