Facebook is an excellent platform for preying on the unwary. There are a plethora of other social media platforms that value your privacy, so there’s no need to use Facebook. Vero, MeWe, Wimkin, mastodon, and other similar services are much superior and have far greater privacy security. Those sites have the ability to block or blacklist you, but they are far less likely to do so. Centered on a political agenda, Facebook uses a mechanism that involves algorithms, radical activists, and other methods to choose what they allow to be posted and what they want to be censored. They deliberately censor those viewpoints, which they confirmed in front of Congress. I don’t know many people who use Facebook, partly because of this and partly because it’s a waste of time.
